We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and make a lasting impact on the lives of our students.

The successful candidate will work in a secure and supportive environment that helps pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties overcome their challenges.

The position requires a candidate who can build relationships with children with SEMH difficulties and work in collaboration with colleagues to create an inclusive and supportive environment that is conducive to learning.

●       To support the curriculum for both key stage 3 and key stage 4

●       To support with the delivery of the extra curricular programme

●       To work 1:1 during periods throughout the day to deliver interventions relevant and bespoke for our student

●       To support with developing offsite activities, inline with personal development and extra curricular programme

●       To ensure that resources are available to staff when required

●       To raise attainment for all young people

●       To consistently plan, prepare and deliver high quality and engaging interventions for all students

●       Assist teachers with creating lesson plans and learning materials to allow students

●       to access the curriculum.

●       Work with other children with a range of SEMH challenges to deliver education or

●       improve their skills.

●       Support children’s learning needs, boost their confidence, and encourage them to

●       participate in the classroom.

●       Organise and lead activities to improve class members’ social skills and

●       communication abilities.

●       Help teaching staff with administrative tasks.

What We Are Looking For - Teaching Assistant (TA):

●     Previous experience  in supporting students with SEMH needs, using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches is desirable.

●     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents

●      Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for driving school improvement

●     Flexible around the needs of the school and pupils.

●     Able to modify challenging behaviour in a firm but supportive manner.

●     Child centred.

●     Flexible with a good sense of humour.
