Band 2 Health Centre Receptionists

Applications are invited for vacancies with the corporate division of BCHC Trust.

We have an opportunity within one of our health centres based within the Sutton Coldfield, to appoint two part time receptionists.

James Preston Health Centre is one of our new established centres that holds a number of BCHC services and needs hardworking, reliable and friendly staff. These positions are part time Monday - Friday, One is part time for 08:30 - 12:30pm, and another one is for 12:30am - 16:30pm.

The successful candidates must have excellent organizational and communication skills, be motivated and enthusiastic to ensure that a quality and efficient service is provided to the clinical teams. The post holder must have the ability to work on their own initiative.

The Receptionist is an integral part of the Health Centre and is often the first point of contact for patients and visitors on arrival.

You should have excellent keyboard skills and a working knowledge of Windows based computer packages, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

You will need to have an awareness of the confidentiality and equality issues associated with working in a Clinical Support Services environment.

wWhen attending interviews evidence of the necessary qualifications will be needed otherwise interviews will not take place.

QUALIFICATION

  • GCSE Maths and English level or equivalent
  • Competent keyboard skills
  • Demonstrate office environment experience, working with a team
  • Relevant experience working in a pressurised environment

SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE

  • Competent to process basic clerical tasks accurately, following instructions
  • Able to produce simple calculations accurately
  • Competent to operate fax and photocopying machines
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office based applications, such as Word, Excel and Access
