As part of TfL’s world‑class Surface Control Centre (SCC) our Business Logistics & Readiness team plays a key role in keeping London moving. It supports the 24/7 operation of the capital’s vast surface transport network, managing roads, 6,000 traffic signals, major tunnels, and a bus network that carries over a billion journeys each year by ensuring our teams are prepared, coordinated, and equipped to deliver safe, reliable journeys for everyone across the city. It’s a dynamic, diverse environment where collaboration, operational readiness, and continuous improvement come together to keep London running smoothly.

We now have an opportunity to join our busy team as a Business Logistics & Readiness Coordinator.

You’ll help drive the planning and readiness activity that keeps the SCC running smoothly. You’ll get involved in everything from preparing for major events, priorities, and projects to supporting business continuity and wider resilience work.

You’ll play an active part in shaping the SCC ongoing development — looking after the processes that keep us organised, helping to embed lessons learned, and making sure we’re ready for new ways of working, including the introduction of new technologies. You’ll also work closely with a wide range of internal and external partners, responding to issues and incidents as directed, and supporting the design, planning, and delivery of initiatives that strengthen control centre operations.

At times of high demand, you’ll step in to provide hands‑on operational support, helping keep everything moving. You’ll also take ownership of the logistical details that keep our control centre ready for action — including the facilities our teams rely on every day.

Some unsocial working is required, this may include the occasional early, late, or night shifts, on weekends or public holidays.
