Job description
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide senior leadership for the organisation's People and Corporate Support functions, helping NHS North East London operate effectively within its new operating model. You will bring together key corporate functions, including people services, change, organisational development, equality, diversity and inclusion, governance, business support and communications, ensuring they are aligned and able to support the organisation's strategic priorities.
Candidates should demonstrate being a collaborative and credible leader with significant experience of leading people, corporate services and organisational change and working at Board and Executive level, providing strategic direction while ensuring high-quality delivery across a broad portfolio of functions.

NHS North East London is seeking an experienced and values-driven senior leader to join us as Director of People and Corporate Support on a six-month fixed-term basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping our People and Corporate Support directorate at a pivotal time for the organisation.We are committed to improving health, wellbeing and equity for our communities by reducing health inequalities, strengthening community-based care and prevention, and working collaboratively with partners to deliver sustainable, high-quality services.
NHS North East London Integrated Care Board (ICB) was formed on 1 July 2022.
We are an exciting new organisation putting the needs of communities at the heart of our commissioning arrangements.
We are working with local people and partners across health, social care and the voluntary sector in innovative ways to improve health and wellbeing for all our communities. Our key priority in the next year will be to develop closer integrated and collaborative ways of working with all our partners to implement our Out of Hospital Strategy.
We can only do this with great staff who are encouraged and supported, which is why we invest in them, listen to them, make sure we are representative of our populations and that we foster their health and wellbeing.

- Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area
- CIPD registered (MCIPD/FCIPD) Professional qualification
- Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
- Member of relevant professional body
- Currently operating at senior management level
- Experience of successfully leading and managing a diverse team
- Experience of managing and delivering large scale projects
- Experience of managing a budget, involved in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes
- Senior level experience in leading the HR/people functions in the NHS or partner organisation.
- Experience of developing and implementing People strategies at an organisational level
- Experience of working in the NHS or healthcare
- Leadership, vision, strategic thinking, and planning with highly developed political skills
- Highly developed communication skills with the ability to communicate on highly complex, sensitive, or contentious matters in difficult situations and influence colleagues
- High level analytical skills and the ability to draw qualitative and quantitative data from a wide range of sources and present in a clear concise manner; assessing options and drawing appropriate conclusions
- Able to plan, develop, maintain, and monitor innovative initiatives and services
- Sound judgement in the absence of precedent, seeking advice as necessary from more senior management
