Job description

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours:  20 hours per week

Worker Type:  Onsite Worker

Salary: Starting Salary is £24,796 - £25,185 per annum (pro rata for part-time) (Pay award pending)

Location: Cherry Trees, Chippenham Road, Bestwood Park Estate, Nottingham, NG5 5TA

To provide a comprehensive and efficient laundry service within a residential setting, in order to ensure cleanliness and availability of fresh linen and clothing as required for citizens.  To undertake regular cleaning and laundering of soft furnishings and fittings, in order to maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the establishment.

  • An understanding and experience of laundry tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of COSHH/health and safety requirements in the contact of chemicals and equipment used for laundering.
  • Understand different laundering requirements for various fabrics and linens, using a range of different laundering techniques.
  • Ability to report problems with equipment and chemicals when required, in order to ensure safety of self and colleagues.
  • Ability to use own initiative and ask for support when required.
  • Ability to attend training relevant to the role, as and when required.
  • A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

Please note that this role does not meet the relevant salary threshold criteria for Skilled Visa sponsorship, and therefore applicants requiring sponsorship are unable to apply.
