We're on a journey to build a workforce reflective of our Borough.
We are committed to fostering diverse teams where everybody can bring their authentic selves to work and feel that they belong. If you want to work for a Council where everybody is encouraged to meet their full potential and make a difference in our neighbourhoods, we would love to hear from you!
You will be responsible for the design and delivery of end user systems training to our children’s teams and partners in the use of LCS/EHM and Single view, Children’s Portal, and any new adopted modules/changes, including production and maintenance of materials and organisation of sessions.
You will work closely with colleagues across different service areas to enhance the provision of the children’s services and develop the systems which they use, to ensure they are embracing the use of digital technology to deliver best in class care.
We are seeking someone with significant experience in the development and training of IT systems (ideally Liquid Logic Children's) and a working knowledge of children’s family help, social care, and safeguarding procedures.
You will have a flexible and positive approach to working within a range of settings, adopting strong problem-solving skills to a broad range of IT challenges. You will have effective communication skills and an ability to train and support others.

We are committed to ensuring that our workforce is fully equipped to deliver high-quality services to children and families.
In this role, you will support and promote the effective use of our case management systems, ensuring that staff can confidently and accurately record their work with children and families using Liquid logic Children's System (LCS), including the Early Help Module (EHM). You will also contribute to the maintenance and quality of pupil data within MRI Capita One.
We are proud to offer a flexible and hybrid working environment, supporting a positive work-life balance while enabling collaboration and professional development.
The Progress with Unity plan is a place movement for change for the next decade, bringing a new era for Wigan Borough. It draws on the strengths of our individual organisations, recognising that together we can achieve much more for our communities by delivering on our 2 place missions; create fair opportunities for all children, families, residents and businesses and make our towns and neighbourhoods flourish for those who live and work in them.
Here at Wigan, we are proud to support flexible working patterns, when the service can accommodate this. We also take a blended approach to where we work, depending on the work we do. This may include working from home, the office, or the community.
