Job description

Position: Early Years Educator Apprentice (Level 3)

School: New Beginnings NurseryAddress: Shakespeare Street, Southwick, SR5 2JX

Salary: APP SCC - £18,193.16 (salary is age dependant)

Contact: Fixed Term 12-18 months for the purposes of completing Apprenticeship

Hours: 37 hours per week

37 hours per week on a rota basis, all year round

The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice to join our strong and very supportive team.

  • Is passionate about developing into an outstanding early years practitioner.
  • Has a foundational interest in or emerging knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • Is meticulous, creative, and eager to assist with planning and preparation.
  • Can assist in adaptively delivering the curriculum to inspire and motivate children.
  • Demonstrates good delivery skills to support children with varying needs.
  • Is keen to learn how to use assessment to track and plan for progress in learning.
  • Holds high expectations for themselves and the children.
  • Is committed to supporting a creative curriculum and a stimulating learning environment where children can grow and flourish
  • Is an excellent team player and able to communicate effectively in a wide range of situations.
  • Is committed to developing effective positive behavior management skills.
  • Wonderful and caring children who are welcoming to everyone.
  • A committed and dedicated staff team that are driven to raising standards.
  • A very supportive working environment.
  • A nursery that has excellent links with its local community and puts children at the heart of everything.
  • Act in compliance with the data protection principles in respecting the privacy of personal information held by the council.
  • Comply with the principles of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 in relation to management of Council records and information.
  • Carry out their duties with full regard to the Council’s Equal Opportunities Policy, Code of Conduct, Child Protection Policy and all other Council policies.
  • Comply with the Council’s Health and safety rules and regulations and Health and Safety Legislation.
