Nursing Associate

Our friendly and supportive team, based at G Block, in Bury St Edmunds and covering the West of Suffolk, are looking for a NMC registered Nursing Associate to join us in providing an excellent service to Older People in our area. We provide an acute community-based service to people of any age with a dementia diagnosis, working intensely for a short period of time, to help stabilise acute presentations and avoid hospital admissions.

You'll be working alongside a close knit multi-disciplinary team of Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychological Therapists, Independent Prescriber and Psychiatrists as well as working closely with GP surgeries, PCNs, Social Workers within ACS and Care Agencies.

We value the unique skills that all of the different professions bring to the team, and you will be supported within this role to utilise your specialist skills. You will be supported to attend any profession specific training and learning events to support your ongoing CPD.

We are looking for clinicians who can work autonomously as well as within a team, someone who is approachable, flexible, and dedicated to improving the lives of our service users and carers.

Please note: Due to the nature of this role you must hold a valid UK driving licence with the ability to travel independently.

We are an established team with a high retention rate, and we are looking to welcome a NMC registered Nursing Associate. You will be given full support and a comprehensive induction.

We are looking for someone who is interested in working in Dementia services, has an interest in physical as well as mental health and who has an understanding of assessment, the referral process and working collaboratively with the wider MDT.

As a Community Nursing Associate you will be responsible for:

• Contributing to assessment and support the development and implementation of recovery plans
• Assisting in the delivery of complex care as prescribed by the registered nurse.
• Using Recovery Care Planning with service users and carers.
• Managing your own diary and planning your day.
• Attending MDT meetings and wards.
• Communicating effectively through notes on Lorenzo and letters to Service Users, GPs and other involved parties.
• Driving is essential for this role.
