Join our Public Health Commissioning Team and use your commissioning, partnership and analytical skills to deliver lasting change for Lewisham residents.

What’s the role?

An exciting opportunity to join Lewisham's Public Health Commissioning Team at a time of transformation, helping to shape and deliver services across health inequalities, sexual health, NHS Health Checks, weight management and physical activity. You will play a key role in commissioning preventative services that improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities for Lewisham's diverse communities.

What we’re looking for

  • A dynamic and motivated commissioner with experience of service design, commissioning, contract management, and service improvement across public health and preventative services.
  • Knowledge and experience of public health commissioning within a local authority setting, including partnership working across health, social care, primary care, and the voluntary and community sector.
  • Someone with strong analytical, project management and communication skills, who can manage complex programmes, budgets and stakeholder relationships to deliver improved outcomes for local communities.
  • A confident and proactive individual who can work autonomously, write high-quality reports and business cases, influence senior stakeholders, and drive innovation across services including health inequalities, sexual health, NHS Health Checks, weight management and physical activity.

Location

The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Salary

£49,155 - £51,228 per annum (P03)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
