At Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, we are looking for caring, motivated and child-focused individuals to join our welcoming and established teams within our Residential Homes and Short Breaks Services.
The successful candidates will be passionate about making a difference and able to develop positive working relationships with children and young people, their families and carers, and a range of partner professionals to help achieve the best possible outcomes.
Residential Homes

Our Short Breaks services provide overnight, after school and day-care services for children with a range complex and additional needs.
The children and young people we support may have experienced significant challenges in their lives, which can affect their emotional wellbeing, confidence, relationships and ability to engage with routines and boundaries.

Your responsibilities will include supporting young people through challenging situations, encouraging positive outcomes, promoting independence, assisting with personal care where required, transporting young people to family contacts and appointments, participating in activities and holidays, and contributing to the day-to-day running of the home, including domestic and health and safety responsibilities.
Working as part of a dedicated team, you will have the opportunity to make a genuine and lasting difference to the lives of children and young people, helping them to thrive and achieve the best possible outcomes.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
