ALABARÉ is a charity that provides accommodation and support for individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges, including armed forces veterans, young people, adults and those with learning disabilities. ALABARÉ aims to break the cycle of homelessness by offering safe housing, mental health support, and pathways to independence. The charity has expanded its services across the South West and Wales, supporting thousands of people every year.
This is far more than a management position. It is a rare opportunity to take on a senior leadership role that will directly influence the future of our services, shape organisational growth, and make a lasting difference to the lives of the people we support. This role is central to our ambitions and will play a key part in delivering our strategy for growth, resilience, and excellence.
As Senior Service Manager, you will provide leadership across complex and diverse services, working closely with the Head of Service while leading managers and teams to deliver safe, high-quality, trauma-informed support. You will have responsibility for operational performance, service quality, governance, financial oversight, and strategic development across multiple service areas.
What makes this role particularly exciting is its focus on growth and innovation. The successful candidate will help drive the expansion of services, support the mobilisation of new properties and bedspaces, develop new ways of working, and build strong partnerships with commissioners and external stakeholders. This is an opportunity to leave a real legacy and help shape the future direction of Alabaré's services.
We are looking for an exceptional leader who can inspire teams, navigate complexity, and balance strategic thinking with operational excellence. You'll be someone who thrives on challenge, enjoys developing people, and is passionate about achieving outstanding outcomes for those we serve.
- Driving service growth, development, and innovation.
- Influencing organisational strategy and decision-making.
- Managing significant budgets and operational performance.
- Working with commissioners and key external partners.
- Leading high-performing managers and teams.
- Making a tangible impact on the lives of vulnerable people across our communities.
This is an outstanding development opportunity for experienced leaders who are ready to step into a role with significant responsibility, visibility, and influence.
If you are ambitious, values-driven, and excited by the prospect of shaping the future of our services while delivering meaningful impact, we would strongly encourage you to express your interest.
