This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Social Workers with post qualification experience, or social workers who have successfully completed the ASYE Programme to join Northumberland County Council Adults, Ageing & Wellbeing Directorate.

- Central Care and Support, County Hall Morpeth
- Permanent, full time 37 hours per week

Care and Support provide a holistic and integrated service for adults aged 18 and over. We support individuals with both physical and mental health needs, working closely with a wide range of partner agencies; including drug and alcohol services, mental health practitioners, health professionals, housing services, the police, and children's social care, to ensure coordinated and effective support.

In this role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments and enjoy a healthy balance of autonomy and support. You'll manage your own caseload while receiving regular supervision and consistent guidance from Advanced Social Work Practitioners and your Team Manager. A clear understanding of the Care Act and the Local Authority's statutory duties is essential.

For this position you must have the following:
- Degree in Social Work & registered with Social Work England
- Successfully completed the UK Skills for Care ASYE programme
- It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid UK driving licence and is either a car owner or can use a car for work purposes.
