Our SEND Service plays a vital role in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We work closely with families, schools, health colleagues and partner agencies to ensure Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) remain effective, up to date and focused on achieving the best possible outcomes. You'll join a dedicated, supportive team committed to delivering high-quality services that make a genuine difference to the lives of children, young people and their families.

As an Annual Review Officer, you'll coordinate and oversee the annual review process for children and young people with EHCPs, ensuring statutory timescales are met and plans accurately reflect changing needs and aspirations.
What you will get to do
- Act as a key point of contact for parents, carers, schools and professionals throughout the annual review process.
- Coordinate and manage annual reviews, ensuring reviews are completed effectively and amended EHCPs are issued within required timescales.
- Attend annual review meetings where appropriate and represent the SEND Service professionally.
- Amend Education, Health and Care Plans using information from a range of sources and professionals.
- Work collaboratively with education, health, social care and other partners to gather information and support positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Maintain accurate records and administer SEND processes using systems such as Synergy and Mosaic.
- Collate data and contribute to reports that support service performance monitoring and SEND funding arrangements.
- Support the SEND Service through meeting administration, minute taking and coordination of professional attendance at reviews.
- Deliver guidance and training to colleagues and school staff relating to SEND annual review processes.
- Contribute to the wider work of the SEND Monitoring and Quality Assurance Team.
- Undertake setting or home visits where required to discuss EHCP amendments with parents, carers or young people

- Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, Education, Health and Care Plans and the statutory SEND process.
- Experience of working with parents, carers, schools, health, social care and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Experience of collating information from multiple sources and accurately updating and amending documentation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to provide advice, guidance and support to a range of stakeholders.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, alongside experience of maintaining electronic records and information systems.
- A good general standard of education, including literacy and numeracy qualifications, alongside an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
