The position will involve working a split shift as follows:
7.00am to 9.30am
and
1.30pm to 6.12pm
This is a year round contract. Annual leave allowance will be calculated and allocated in accordance with Sefton Council's current leave policy.
English Martyrs Catholic Primary School is a larger than average primary school with 460 pupils currently on roll (including Nursery), situated in Litherland, south Sefton.
To start as soon as possible.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a Premises Officer who is enthusiastic, flexible and totally committed to maintaining the high standards already established and becoming part of a very hardworking team.
The successful candidate will need to work flexibly to deliver quality caretaking and security services to the school, whilst contributing to wider priorities including supporting ongoing improvements to the school building and grounds.
Experience of school caretaking is not essential. However, maintenance skills are essential.
Main duties will include security and safety of the premises, building maintenance and maintenance of fixtures & furnishings within the school/school grounds.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate commitment, display initiative, understand the importance, or have a working knowledge of health and safety, security and hygiene within a school setting.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. The appointment will be subject to pre-employment checks, including satisfactory Enhanced Level DBS clearance.
